We had a wonderful experience with OC Goldens and couldn’t be happier with our puppy, Angel. From the beginning, Mike and Desiree were responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process. They provided detailed health records, vaccination information, and microchip registration details, and they have continued to be available for questions after we brought Angel home. Angel is healthy, sweet, and full of personality. It’s clear she was well cared for and loved before coming home with us. We especially appreciated the ongoing support and follow-up to make sure everything was going well. I’ve included two photos of Angel — one from the day she came home and another taken recently in our backyard. It’s amazing to see how quickly she’s grown in such a short time! She has brought so much joy to our family. Thank you, Mike and Desiree, for helping us find such a wonderful addition to our family. We highly recommend OC Goldens to anyone looking for a Golden Retriever puppy.

Awesome people and beautiful people at the same time. They’re really good. They take really good care of their dogs. They’re very reasonable. They start you off with health insurance for your animal. And it comes with chipped and they give you a bag of dog food. So you have something to start off with and they give you great advice. I love Chance and I’m very grateful for Chance to be part of our family

I wish they had a 10 ⭐️ review ! I am a former vet tech who has had golden retrievers off and on over the years. I was looking for quality, healthy and genetically sound dogs . I came across OC Goldens and I was intrigued. I messaged them and Mike called me within a few hours. We talked several times and he was so informative and always available to answer questions. But then the big question ……… how to get a puppy to Boston ?????? No problem Mike and Desiree came up with a brilliant plan they would fly my puppy and another one to Boston ! Mike and Desiree’s extensive knowledge of the breeds traits and temperament as well as the time they put into careful selection for each liter is a level above most breeders I have spoken to. We are thrilled with our male we purchased from them and know he is not only beautiful to look at he is healthy and will live a long life with us . We recently brought home our English Cream Golden Retriever puppy, Chaka, from Mike and Desiree Heppner at OC Goldens, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From our first conversations with Mike through the day we picked up Chaka on May 22, 2026, it was clear that he genuinely cares about his dogs and the families who adopt them. He was knowledgeable, responsive, and patient with all of our questions. Mike took the time to explain the health testing, genetic clearances, and breeding philosophy behind his program, which gave us complete confidence that we were bringing home a healthy puppy from a responsible breeder. One of our favorite parts of the process was the weekly video updates. Watching the puppies grow and develop each week was something our family looked forward to and eagerly anticipated. We were also incredibly impressed by the amount of information available on the OC Goldens website. The transparency is unmatched. Health testing results for each breeding dog are readily available, and the family tree information made it fun and informative to explore Chaka’s lineage. On “Gotcha Day,” it was obvious how much care and attention had gone into raising the puppies. They were well-socialized, clean, healthy, and thriving in a loving environment. We especially appreciated Mike and Desiree’s commitment to transparency and their dedication to matching puppies with the right families. It was evident throughout the process that they prioritize the long-term health, temperament, and well-being of their dogs rather than simply making a sale. Now, 10 days after bringing Chaka home, we couldn’t be happier. He has a wonderful temperament—confident, curious, affectionate, and full of personality. He has already become a beloved member of our family. He learned to fetch after just a few tosses of a ball, already knows sit, down, come, and his name, and is well on his way to being fully potty trained. From day one, he slept in his crate with very little whining and has adjusted remarkably well to his new home. Chaka also passed his first puppy wellness exam with flying colors. Our veterinarian was impressed with his overall health, temperament, and how comfortable he was being handled during the exam. No issues with having his feet, ears, or nails touched, and the vet even commented on the excellent tightness of his hips. If you are looking for an English Cream Golden Retriever and want to work with breeders who are professional, ethical, transparent, and truly passionate about the breed, we highly recommend Mike and Desiree Heppner and OC Goldens. We cannot recommend OC Goldens enough! From the very first conversation, Mike was absolutely amazing to work with. He was kind, knowledgeable, responsive, and kept us updated every step of the way. He made the entire process feel so personal and exciting by sending updates and making sure we always knew how our puppy was doing. What truly impressed us was the incredible care he put into bringing our puppy home. Mike flew Waylon all the way from Oregon to Boston and personally met us at the airport. His dedication, professionalism, and genuine love for his dogs gave us complete confidence throughout the entire experience. Waylon has exceeded every expectation. We are the proud and happy owners of Snowball, a gorgeous white fluffball! He loves his 2 best friends, Kimberly age 8 and Kolby age 4. Our Corgi is coming around to him slowly as they get a little close to each other. Driving all the way from Portland to Phoenix, and stopovers overnite, he has been pretty good with potty-training! He is such a good boy and a cutie! He loved his 2nd shower with his owner (Kimberly)shampooing him! Potty training has been pretty easy for a nine week old now. Love him! Thanks Mike and Desiree!

We are the proud and happy owners of snowball a gorgeous white fluff ball of love. He loves his two best friends Kimberly age 8, and Kolby age 4 our Corgi is coming around to him slowly as they get a little closer to each other. The cutest thing is his love for water already. His little head beside the fountain water bowl, falling asleep with his chin on the water bowl or the ear flap into the water bowl are all adorable photo- ops! Driving him all the way from Portland to Phoenix with 3 overnites was so easy. He has been so smart with potty training, eating and playing, and crate training. Thank you, Mike For all you do, and providing families with the smartest and most lovable goldens.

We wanted to thank the Heppner family for such a wonderful experience in choosing our next four-legged family member. The entire experience was truly top-notch. Whenever I had a question, I would text Mike, and within 10 minutes my phone was ringing. The Heppners genuinely care about the quality and temperament of the Cream Goldens they breed, and it shows in everything they do. We brought our sweet Abby home two days ago and she is fitting in so well with our busy household of two kids and our senior golden retriever. She is such a sweet and loving dog who loves belly rubs and cuddles. She is very smart too, and is quickly learning where to go potty and is responding to her name. After doing some research on the internet, I chose OC Goldens based on all the 5 star reviews, and I’m so glad I did! Mike and Desiree have been wonderful to work with. Mike is great with communication, even with some questions I had after purchasing the puppy. They truly care about the health and well-being of all their dogs!

We are truly so happy with our beautiful new puppy, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He is so well behaved and full of life. The temperament of the little ones is unreal. Mike and Desiree were there for us every step of the way, always taking the time to answer our questions and make sure we felt comfortable throughout the entire process. They shared so much about how they care for the sire and dams and the love and attention they put into every part of the breeding process. They kept us updated all the way through until whelping day, and it was so reassuring to know our puppy came from such a caring and dedicated home. Also, for them to being so responsible to look after the wellbeing and safety of their past/future litters was so important to us.❤️ We are deeply grateful for Mike and Desiree and the incredible care they pour into each litter. It means so much that they continue to stay in touch afterward and even help connect families through their Facebook group. We feel so blessed to have found them and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for handsome, or gorgeous, addition to the family.

Mike at OC Goldens is awesome!! I recently purchased a beautiful 20-month old Golden from him as a companion dog for my elderly father. Everything fell into place perfectly! I discovered his posting for Maggie the same day of his original posting. He contacted me the next morning, and within several hours we were able to finalize everything. His genuine interest and concern for making it happen and my father’s needs was very impressive, and made me feel extremely comfortable. He has been in frequent contact with me and even helped me with transportation arrangements for Maggie. It is quite apparent that Mike is very passionate and knowledgeable as a breeder. The dogs that he breeds are of very high caliber, and I will definitely do business with OC Goldens in the future if I am ever looking for another dog.

I highly recommend OC Golden’s. From beginning, to the time we brought our boy home was a great experience. They are so wonderful with their dogs, and truly care about the pups, and where they are placed. They are always wanting updates to see how all the pups are doing in their new homes. It was a pleasure dealing with them, and our boy is the most amazing pup ever. UPDATE : We now have a second pup from OC Golden’s, and he is the most loving, funny, smart boy. Our first dog from OC Golden’s is almost 6 now, and our pup just turned 6 months. They’ve brought so much joy, laughter, and love to our life , and when we are at the point in our life when we’re ready for another pup to join our family, OC Golden’s will be the only place we’ll go. Best decisions we’ve ever made.

We’ve had two wonderful (and busy!) weeks now with our Maui and his brother Davy Jones who is my son and daughter-in-law’s (Levi/Dreamer 10.2025). Mike and Desiree were an absolute joy to work with, and Mike spent so much time talking with us, patiently answering all of our questions. The process of flying into Portland to go pick up the two puppies to bring back to Arizona was easier because of Mike’s recommendations (and items offered in his storefront). Thank you, Mike and Desiree…we can’t wait to get a little female in the future!!

Carole and I picked up our “Holly” one week ago from OC Goldens. If you have ever raised a puppy you will understand when I say we have had a busy and wonderful week with Holly. We could not be happier with the experience we had with OC Goldens. The Heppners were as wonderful to deal with and they are the breeder we would recommend for anyone considering purchasing a crème colored golden retriever.
